b_3, b_12

The work explores the suggestion of intimacy and movement through still imagery.

"b" is a series of 4 digital prints which examine the above themes within digital photography. The work was developed from a series of 12 staged photographs of a man and woman kissing. The photographs were digitally layered, progressing from the first one layered image to a dark and complex image containing twelve layers.

I am interested in the potential of subverting what is traditionally perceived to be a cold and remote medium - technology, either presenting work of an emotional or personal nature as multimedia work or utilising the technology to create work which evokes these themes. The prints in the "b" series suggest movement, intimacy and passion, fabricated by myself and the technologies available to me.
